Lives and works in Paris and Amsterdam. He studied composition, sonology and architecture at the Universidad de Chile in Santiago and composition and classical guitar at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague. He received his degree in 1983. He has been a member of various ensembles, among others BARROCO ANDINO, AMANKAY and HOKETUS (from 1979 until 1986). Since 1981 he has been a member, interpreter and composer/arranger of the chilean ensemble QUILAPAYUN in Paris.
